Dalva L.B.V. 2012

  • 9.95€

It was initially a wine intended for the bottling of Vintage Port, but due to a lack of orders, it was kept in the barrel for longer than planned.

It ages in wood for a minimum period of four and a maximum of six years after harvest.

Due to this long aging in wood, Late Bottled Vintage, commonly known as LBV, are less astringent and full-bodied than Vintage Port wines.

Considered by many to be the best quality/price ratio, the LBV has the advantage of being ready to drink without decanting.

Usually ready to drink when released on the market, LBV Ports are the result of a single year's harvest and tend to be smoother and lighter than a Vintage Port.
